Going Strong in the Gobi Desert

It’s officially stage three of the Gobi March, and LWR’s own Paul Drossou is going strong! He finished stage one in just over 5 1/2 hours, and stage two in 6 1/2 (each stage is roughly a marathon — 26 miles). Now comes the hard part. The official Gobi March website says,

For many of the day’s 157 starters, Stage 3 presented their first difficult challenge on the course. The first part of the stage took competitors through the fields and streets of Langerville village, but it was after passing Checkpoint 2, when competitors went through a canyon, that many competitors felt the toughness of the course.

Paul is running the Gobi March to help raise awareness of how many people lack access to clean water, or have to walk miles every day to fetch it.
